Croton Landing Park has a great river walk. And at the end you'll find a most unusual sundial built from a steel beam from the World Trade Center.
It is a nice park with fishing designated fishing spots, barbeque spot with sheds and beautiful sunset.
Really nice park with a long walking trail. At far end there is an impressive 911 memorial. The memorial is built with a large steal beam from the 911 destroyed Twin Towers in NYC to form a huge sun dial/clock. Next to it there are detailed explanations of how the Sun Dial works and a correction graph for the difference between the sun dial's reading as a function of the time of day. The memorial is nice artistically, in addition to its science educational value.
Depending of were you stand or as you stroll along this landing your eyes will capture slight variations of the paisaje enhanced by the sun's or moon's reflection on the swaying waters.
